I remember perfectly the day I met Carolina. She was one of my very first clients and is, without a doubt, one of those people who leaves a mark — someone who lights up everyone around her with a big smile, warmth, and a naturally optimistic, high-energy personality! An entrepreneur at heart, she fell in love with Portugal and opened Café na Fábrica at Lx Factory, which was one of the first cafés in that now iconic Lisbon location. A true dog lover, every regular at Café na Fábrica knows her two golden retrievers, Café and Galão.
As if that weren’t enough, almost two years ago, together with another friend with an equally radiant smile, she opened Oh Brigadeiro, also at Lx Factory — home to the best brigadeiros ever! And it was there, at the opening event, that Carolina told me she was getting married in two months. She also shared that it was going to be a real party — and I mean a real party — in a circus, at Aldeia da Mata Pequena, and that everything would be very different from the usual wedding.
My excitement to be chosen to capture these memories was more than I can put into words. I vividly remember how thrilled I felt that day to be photographing such joyful and fun people, in a setting as charming and picturesque as Aldeia da Mata Pequena — filled with unique and unexpected details. I hope you enjoy it!
