There are those serendipitous stories that truly are the best. Two years ago, I took part in the Simplesmente Branco showcase and had a small giveaway for a couples/engagement session. As luck would have it, Joana happened to stop by with her mother, and I had the chance to chat with her for a bit. She left her little slip for the giveaway — she was getting married in 2015 — but the date she had given me was already booked.

But life always finds unexpected ways to surprise us. Not only did Joana win the engagement session, but she also ended up having to change the wedding date, and I had the honor of being the one chosen to capture that special day.
