I shot this a while ago and told Mariana "If I ever have kids of my own, and if I happen to have girls, I just hope they can be as cheerful as yours!". So two things to have in mind, this was really a while ago, because Mariana already has a boy to challenge these girls and along the way I also got pregnant and have a daughter of my own.

But the thing is, if you meet these girls you can't resist them, they have this energy and good mood that you just want to smile with them. And this is why I absolutely love to photograph families. This is the thing, this is the good and the beautiful, but real. You don't put a filter on the joy of your kids, on the messy clothes and messy hair, the dirty feet and the pout. You just let them be. Let them run, chase each other, jump really high... and you join them.

What could be better than this for you to remember them when they were just little?
