I've known Joana since Salvador was just one year, as they gathered their friends and family and celebrated together the first year of their boy! This time was a much smaller gathering, but with more family than the usual parents + kids combo!
Salvador had a great time, along with everyone else, he ran around trees, laughed with everyone and climbed tree trunks. His family was there having fun with him and this is how I like to roll on family photo shoots... let the kids play and no worries about messy hair or tucked in shirts.
The result? Natural, joyful photographs that truly reflect who they are as a family — loud laughs, warm hugs, and spontaneous moments that you just can't plan. There’s something really special about capturing these bigger family gatherings, because you get to see how love flows across generations — from grandparents gently holding the little ones to cousins playing like lifelong friends.
And as a photographer, it’s always such a privilege to be invited into these moments. I’m not just there to take pretty pictures, I’m there to freeze time — the chaos, the giggles, the in-between glances — and turn them into memories they’ll look back on years from now. This was one of those sessions that made my heart full!
