This engagement session started when I received a request for a quote right after a few days off in August. It was for a wedding almost in November that year and it would be all shot during the night, which would be a challenge for me. After meeting and debating a few ideas, they decided I would be the one shooting their wedding (yay!!) and we started planning their engagement session before the wedding!

This engagement session was far from the usual. Instead of the classic romantic stroll through the city or park, we decided to do something a little more adventurous and memorable: a tuk-tuk ride through the charming streets of Sintra! The tuk-tuk tour was such a fun and unique way to explore the city, with its narrow alleys and picturesque neighborhoods. It allowed us to see Sintra from a fresh perspective, all while capturing the couple’s excitement and love as they zoomed through the vibrant streets. We ended our journey at the beach, just in time for sunset, creating the perfect atmosphere for some magical, golden hour moments. The contrast of the city’s hustle and bustle followed by the serene, peaceful beach made for a truly special and diverse session.

What made this experience even more unique was the connection we built during this time together. From the moment we first met and brainstormed ideas, I could tell that we were on the same page. They wanted their engagement session to reflect their personalities, something out of the ordinary, and a little quirky — which I absolutely loved! We spent the day chatting, laughing, and getting to know each other better. It was the perfect way to set the tone for their wedding day. When the day arrived, the images we created during the session became a beautiful foundation for the wedding, where their love story truly came to life. I couldn’t wait to capture the continuation of their journey in November!
