I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love when clients choose cool places for their engagement sessions. I like it when they think of places that have a special connection to their story, or even places they've been wanting to visit for a while but never got around to. All of this adds a special dedication to your session, making both of you search for a place that means something to you. Planning a wedding is also a lot about this – thinking of things that are special in your story so you can later share them with the loved ones you want to have by your side during that day.

I'm passionate about Lisbon, and I feel so happy when I can stroll around narrow streets, wander through the hills... there are always lovely streets to explore, and nothing beats the sunlight streaming through the streets, passing by the street lamps, and leading us to peek at the small viewpoints scattered around.

But of course, when I get to photograph outside Lisbon, it’s a whole new excitement – discovering new places and receiving a dose of inspiration like a breath of fresh air. It feels so good! So, when Filipa and Paulo suggested doing the session at Foz do Lizandro, I was immediately excited... especially because the reason behind choosing such a different place, was that this way they could bring Abby along and make her part of the session. As anyone who knows me already knows, I have a four-legged friend myself, so it's easy to understand why I get so happy when I can photograph these family members too, who deserve all our love!
