And as I had told you, here is Emma and Jon's destination wedding day in Chaves, all across the country! I really loved this weekend... even if sometimes it takes a toll on you to drive for so many hours, arriving to a different area with such distinctive architecture, it's always an inspiration booster!
Take a peek into this beautiful day that gathered Portugal, France and New-Zealand all in one day and place (check the boys doing the haka after the cake)!
The ceremony took place in a small local church filled with natural light, family heirlooms, and the kind of silence that carries meaning. There was something deeply touching about watching Emma walk down the aisle in the same village where her mother grew up, surrounded by generations of love and stories. It felt like past and present were holding hands just for a moment.
Later, the celebration moved outdoors with long tables, heartfelt speeches, and spontaneous laughter echoing through the valley. And then came that haka moment — so powerful and emotional that it gave everyone goosebumps, even those who had never seen one in person. It was a perfect reminder that love brings cultures together in the most beautiful and surprising ways.
